myTELUS.com is TELUS customers' homepage. It provides useful content such as national and local news, weather, search functions, a phonebook and stock listings, as well as shortcuts to TELUS products and services, access to home services and mobility accounts, help and support, and downloadable songs, ringtones and images for your mobile devices. I am a TELUS customer. How can I use myTELUS to access my account and services?

"TELUS Home services" and "TELUS Mobility" links are displayed at the top of your homepage. They provide direct access to your TELUS accounts.

For further information on TELUS products and services, browse through the right-hand column on your homepage. You will find useful shortcuts to all our services and related support: Optik TV, Mobility, Home Phone, High speed Internet and Bundles.

Where does myTELUS content like news and weather come from?

TELUS has developed partnerships with content providers such as The Canadian Press and the Weather Network to offer TELUS customers real-time information. Several additional sources of information are available through the "Add content" button, which allows you to choose the information you're most interested in displaying on your myTELUS.com homepage.

How can I report inappropriate, incorrect or outdated content?

Customizing myTELUS homepage

What can I customize on the site?

You can add, delete and rearrange content on your homepage by clicking on the "Add content" button. You can also add two more personalized homepages for family members using the "Add personal pages" link. There's no need to log in to customize the site.

How do I add content to a page?

  1. Click on the "Add Content" button. A list of available content will appear.
  2. Click on the content selections you'd like to add.
  3. Click "Add".

How do I remove content from a page?

To remove content from a page, simply click on the small "X" in the upper right corner of the content module you'd like to remove.

How do I move content around on a page?

All content is presented within modules. To move a content module, move your mouse over the module, left-click on it and drag the module to the desired location while holding the mouse button down.

How do I add a content page?

You can also enrich your myTELUS experience with additional pages. You may want to create a page of sports-related modules, for example, or add specific pages for each member of your household.

  1. Click on the "Add personal pages" or "Manage pages" link.
  2. In the pop-up window that appears, click on "+ Add a personal page".
  3. Enter the name for the new page.
  4. Click "Save".

The new page will appear to the right of "My main page". Follow the directions above for adding content to your new page.

How do I remove a content page?

  1. Click on the "Manage pages" link. In the pop-up window that appears, uncheck the box (or click "Delete") next to the page(s) you'd like to remove.
  2. To confirm your selection, click "OK" in the pop-up window that opens.
  3. Click "Save".

Why can't I customize all pages?

Any new pages that you create can be completely customized. The right-hand column on your homepage, however, cannot be changed since it includes valuable information and services for TELUS customers. You can modify the two left-hand columns on your homepage.

Is there a risk I might lose my personalized homepage?

No. The changes you have made to your myTELUS homepage are saved on your computer. Unless you delete "cookies," your settings will be maintained every time you open your browser. Note, however, that some privacy and security software products automatically erase cookies. You can modify the settings in those programs to protect any files with information about your personal preferences.

My city always reverts back to the default city. What can I do to stop this?

Your browser's security settings might be configured in such a way that all cookies are automatically deleted. If this is the case, you will not be able to personalize your homepage, and the city you choose for viewing weather forecasts, for example, will always revert back to Vancouver, the original myTELUS value.

Here's how to modify your browser's security settings to enable cookies or to prevent cookies from being deleted before their expiry date. Choose the appropriate procedure for your browser.

  1. Click on "Tools" and "Internet Options".
  2. Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  3. Move the slider so that the privacy settings are set to "Medium".
Firefox*
  1. Click on "Tools" and "Options".
  2. Click on "Privacy".
  3. Select "Remember history" or "Use custom settings for history" on the pull-down menu.
  4. Make sure the "Accept cookies from sites" and "Accept third-party cookies" boxes are checked.
  5. Make sure you select "they expire" on the pull-down menu.

* This procedure may vary slightly depending on your version of Firefox.

Movies

How can I narrow down my theatre search results?

  1. Go to www.mytelus.com/movies/ and locate the "Find movies & theatres" box on the right side of the page.
  2. Your location will be detected automatically (see "Your location is ..."). Click on "Modify" if you would like to change the location.
  3. If your location is not already specified in the "Theatre search" field, enter your postal code or city and click "Go".
  4. Your default search will display several theatres. You can click on the "Movie options" tab to narrow down your search by movie and date.
  5. You can also choose the "Location options" tab to narrow down your search by location. Location options allow you to search for the theatres closest to you by adjusting the range from 2 to 50 km.
  6. You can also select nearby cities.

How can I create shortcuts to my favorite theatres?

Select the "Add to My Theatres" link beside any theatre listed, and it will be added to your My Theatres list under "Find movies & theatres".

Games and prepaid cards

I have a TELUS prepaid online game card. Where can I redeem it and play games?

To redeem your card and start playing, all you need to do is download the TELUS Games Player and activate your card in a few easy steps:

  1. Download the TELUS Games Player
  2. Once the Games Player is installed, double click the TELUS Games Player icon on your desktop.
  3. When the Games Player opens, click Sign Up. Register first for a free Games on Demand membership ID. This username and password allows you to log on, activate your card, and select and play games in your Game Pack.
  4. Upon successful registration, a Sign Up Successful page will display. Click the Redeem Prepaid Game Card link.*
  5. Enter the card number and PIN, which you will find on the prepaid card or virtual voucher.
  6. Once this information has been entered, your temporary subscription will be activated, giving you access to TELUS online games for the period indicated on the card. To monitor the time remaining in your prepaid card, go to My Account in the TELUS Games Player.

*If you wish to activate your card later, you will need to log into the Games Player and click My Account to redeem your card. This also applies to users who already have a free TELUS Games on Demand membership.
